The Precision Electronics Systems Requirements Staff Engineer will be part of the development team for Precision Electronics and Embedded Systems for Agriculture and Construction equipment. This position will act as interface between Platform, Marketing and External Suppliers/Partners and Systems Engineering teams for the development of initial system level requirements, the derivation of subsystem, component, and software requirements, collaboration with Systems Architecture to develop functional and logical models, derive software requirements, and work with testing communities for verification and validation of requirements. The candidate will lead in Guidance and/or Positioning (GNSS - Global Navigation System Satellites). Staff System Engineer works as leader on domain: Lead projects, guide lower level engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities include:

1. Work in place of the manager if necessary.

2. Create detailed systems specifications for precision hardware/software

3. Develop vehicle embedded system requirements for product improvement projects

4. Support development of vehicle platform architectures to be used as reference designs.

5. Support development of software models from requirements, using Model Based Design, maximizing reuse of sub-components, and assuring readability and maintainability.

6. Establish and maintain requirements traceability and stability.

7. Perform verification (compliance) analysis using test data

8. Participating in resource planning, project schedule design and Safety Analysis reviews.

9. Review progress of projects and provide weekly progress updates to stakeholders.

10. Prepare reports consistent with program requirements, CNHi development processes and recommends processes improvement.

11. Travel up to 10% to support troubleshooting efforts, attend AEF (Agricultural Electronics Foundation) certifications and technical seminars & conferences.

Position Pays $120,000 to $183,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)


Required

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, in field related to specific position. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Engineering fields applicable to this position: Electrical, Electronics, computer science, Mechanical, Agricultural, Process Development, and Aerospace or equivalent.
  • Specific skills, proficiencies, and knowledge in field related to position, as identified by department leadership.
  • Well-developed problem analysis and problem-solving techniques.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in engineering, in field related to specific position.
  • Experience with V-Model and Agile
  • Experience in product definition and development of complex systems
  • Prior experience in Precision Farming product development
  • Knowledge in telematics
