Essential Functions • Assist with supervision routines for fleet to ensure that operational and administrative requirements are fulfilled. • Plan, monitor execution and manage full cycle of rail and fleet invoices, including weekly downloading, coding invoices, matching purchase orders, obtaining approval and email them to AP.
• Deliver exceptional service, while optimizing inventory for key business units in U.S. operations.
• Understand business needs and translate them into logistics needs for operations.
• Lead cross-function groups to address communication and process gaps throughout the company.
• Work closely with suppliers, carriers, warehouses, distribution managers and other internal partners to drive very high levels of service.
• Expert in Microsoft Excel, Access & Power Point.
• ERP systems experience required; Oracle experience preferred.
• Extensive experience in KPI development and reporting.
Education & Experience Requirements Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain or Business. 5 years related industry experience. Comprehensive knowledge of production processes and flow throughout the manufacturing shop. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong negotiation skills. Good analytical skills. MBA preferred. Position Summary Under limited supervision, works to maximize inventory capacity by establishing, adjusting and monitoring materials and production schedules consistent with master schedules. Designs innovative and contemporary supply chain forecasting and analytic methods to achieve the overall goal of cost savings. Develops work tasks and instructions which specify processes and/or equipment to be used for sequence of operations to meet finished good needs. Revises and reschedules orders to meet inventory requirements. Utilize Lean and Six Sigma principles/disciplines to evaluate, revise, and implement continuous improvement initiatives specific to the function and operations. Identifies, locates and evaluates alternate sources of supply to facilitate cost competitiveness. Recommends new developments in materials and supplies and on improving quality and cost of purchases.
