Supervisor - Casting Finishing Tubs and Auto Tub Line

Work Mode: Onsite

Location:  Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Responsible for organizing, coordinating and supervising activities of Casting Finishing Tubs-Auto Tub Line and all supporting functions as necessary to provide the required product to our customers in a quality fashion.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly supervises and assigns work to Casting Finishing Tubs and ATL Operators in order to fill the customer requirements.
  • Assures the work force is properly trained, has the necessary job experience, and knows the job expectations prior to being assigned to do the work.
  • Frequently evaluates job procedures and operator performance to maintain safety, people, quality, costs and delivery
  • Support KOS and maintain 5S efforts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work place.
  • Evaluates Robotics' functions ongoing to ensure the system's performance to maintain safety, costs, quality, and delivery.
  • Initiates, assists, and leads repair efforts of Robotics and Mechanical Equipment in a joint effort with Maintenance and Engineering Support.
  • Is responsible for keeping the ATL Robotics functioning on an hour to hour basis.  Requests assistance in a timely manner as required to maintain continuity of operations.
  • Communicate with supervision of other shifts to ensure unity and clear communications shift to shift to include special projects, tests, scheduling priorities, manning issues, best practice experiences and operations problems that occur.
  • Maintain close contact with all support departments to ensure that operating materials and services are of top quality and adequate quantity to achieve quality and production requirements.
  • Develop trouble shooting skills that include working knowledge of PLC's and computer Logic so that program Robotic changes are facilitate and understood by the Robotics Management.
  • Prepare all daily, monthly, and special reports as required.
  • Participate in a contributing team member or a leadership capacity in KOS events, six sigma projects and continuous improvement efforts in the Cast Iron Division.
  • Administrate all industrial relations, safety, environmental, personnel, divisional and departmental policies and procedures as directed.
  • Evaluate employees, review evaluations with employees, and recommend progressive upgrades.  Review action needed and follow up to ensure employee's progress.
  • Provide leadership and administer disciplinary action as necessary.
  • Implement the instructions and requirements for safety, environmental compliance, energy management, and sustainability, and be fully responsible for the environmental, health, and safety requirements and objectives in their area.
  • Responsible for EHS education for new and current workers (including visitors).
  • Responsible for the EHS inspection in their area and maintaining a clean and safe work area.  Creating detailed records, participating in accident investigation, analysis, and implement preventive measures as needed.

Skills/Requirements

Associate degree required.  Bachelor degree preferred. Quality attitude, proven leadership, and interpersonal skills are required.  Ability to instruct and make decisions is essential.  Must be capable of comprehending complex mechanical and computer driven interfacing.  Must be a team player.
