We have an excellent opportunity for a Tax Accountant in our Mason, Ohio headquarters location.

In this position, the successful candidate will perform the following job responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file personal property taxes, unclaimed property reporting, and business licenses.
  • Prepare monthly use tax accruals for review.
  • Analyze personal property tax assessments and pay property tax bills.
  • Setup and maintain valid sales tax exemption certificates in Vertex sales tax software.
  • Assist tax manager on gathering information requested by auditors and conducting tax research.
  • Providing company support by answering tax department emails regarding sales and use taxes relating to customer sales orders.
  • Assist tax manager in ad hoc projects as they arise.

 



  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field of study.
  • 2-3 years general office experience.
  • Planning and organization; candidate must have good time management and organizational skills, and be detail orientated.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of state and local sales tax or personal property tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and strong Excel skills, including the use of VLOOKUP’s, Pivot tables and other advanced Excel functions
  • Intuitive in learning new software and processes
  • Strong verbal and written correspondence skills
  • Oracle and Vertex experience a plus
