SUMMARY

The Team Lead/Supervisor position facilitates and supports workloads and monitors quality control to support the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Rural Development (RD) Programs.

This position supervises daily operations, actively communicates with the RD Field staff to ensure timely processing of cases, provides support & technical assistance to assigned staff, supports Program Quality Control efforts, and establishes, organizes and maintains accurate files and computer records.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for all day-to-day operations including: Managing teamwork load, Making team assignments and monitoring completion, Reassigning work as necessary.

Ensures all required systems are operational and reports/addresses any problems as arise.

Receives, investigates, and resolves problems with assistance of team members.

Establishes, organizes, and maintains accurate files and computer records.

Provids support, technical assistance, and training to assigned staff, ensuring that they are appropriately prepared to perform all aspects of their jobs (case management, customer service, reporting.)

Monitors staff performance and addresses performance weaknesses as needed.

Supports Program Quality Control efforts.

Maintains quality assurance procedures and reports to Program Manager on results.

Assists in identifying new quality assurance procedures and reports as needed.

Ensures that case management conforms to professional standards.

Collects and analyzes data, analyzes complaints, identifies issues and elevates them to the Program Manager.

Manages development of performance reports for the program.

Assists Program Manager in developing and implementing improvement strategies, such as developing and providing training.

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.

Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.

Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance with all applicable rules (federal, state, local, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Code of Federal Regulations, Prime Contract requirements, etc.) both for themselves, their employees, and the company as a whole.Fosters an environment in which they and their employees will reportanyviolations or reasonably suspected violation of CNI policy, FAR, and/or CFR and are comfortable discussing the myriad compliance, conflict, FAR, CFR, etc. issues that arise during the performance of a government contract.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years related experience and or training.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION

Must be able to obtain government security clearance.

U.S. Citizen/ Green Card only due to government or federal requirement.

JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Regularly lifts and/or moves up to thirty pounds, and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to fifty pounds. Works near moving mechanical parts. Regularly exposed to general office and general office machinery noise. May be exposed to warehouse, truck or forklift noise.
