Client based in the Norfolk, VA area is seeking a Technical Lead for a full-time perm engagement.
This lead will be responsible for mentoring a small team of engineers on design and technical architecture.
Daily activities include analyzing, designing and leading module development and working directly with customers for project implementation.
This role will work in the functional area of Supply Chain and Retail. The overall objective of this role is to lead efforts to ensure quality standards are being met technically.
Responsibilities:
Analyze customer requirements and document Software Requirement Specifications
Produce design documents and participate design reviews
Create project plans
Writing code, unit tests, and building deployment scripts (minimally)
Guiding and mentoring a small team of developers
Participating in code reviews
Reviewing Test Strategies
Monitoring timelines and managing project execution
Executing performance and scalability tests and profiling hotspots
Qualitications:
6+ years of relevant experience in a development/Architecture sepcifically working in a Java or C# environment
Experience with relational databases (Oracle)
Able to write SQL queries
Extensive knowledge of the Java or C# programming language
Experience with enterprise integration patterns & protocols, such as REST, EDI, SOAP
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Functional knowledge of supply chains, logistics, order management, master data management, cataloging, etc. is a plus*
Experience with modern web client technologies (in particular React) is a plus*
Project Management Certification Preferred*
