Job Description:

If you like chatting with folks and are good at planning vacations, we're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented team member with a friendly personality and excellent customer service skills to join our reservation call center as a Temporary Park Reservation Specialist.
As a Temporary Park Reservation Specialist working at our reservation call center in Lincoln, your job will involve helping guests in person and over the phone. You'll use our online system to book camping and lodging at Nebraska's beautiful state parks. You'll also provide information about park rules and what amenities are available. If guests need to change their reservations, you'll be there to assist. You'll also handle data entry and help with special projects. Your most important task is to make sure our guests are happy and satisfied.

Scheduling, confirming, canceling, and refunding reservations for guests, both by phone and in person, using a computerized reservation system. Securely take credit card payments in accordance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards. Under immediate supervision, processes and maintains varied records and written materials through the use of established clerical procedures (such as scanning, data entry, sorting/filing correspondence and documents), and operates office machines, personal computers and associated software, pertinent to the purposes of an office, program, or administration operations; performs related work as assigned. The call center operates from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Scheduling may offer flexibility to accommodate varying shifts within these hours.

REQUIREMENTS: Coursework/training or experience in public contact, customer service, and/or performing and applying office/clerical support procedures, including the use of a personal computer, associated software, and office equipment.

Knowledge of modern office methods and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and the public to exchange information; compute and total figures involving the use of addition, subtractions, multiplication, and division; operate office machines including personal computer and word processing software.
