D7 Locations hiring: McCook, Maywood, Benkelman, Imperial, Holdrege, Alma, Arapahoe, Minden, Palisade, Grant, Elwood, and Franklin. Summer positions, temporary, until November 30, 2023. Hours may depend on weather, may be more or less than 40 hours per week.

Examples of Work
Perform flagging. Assist with Striping Operations. Mow and trim Right of Way. Spread and tamp surfacing materials. Assist in repairing highway signs. Manually provide highway traffic control for maintenance projects according to safety procedures. Safely remove objects from roadway. Assist in cleaning of all maintenance equipment and buildings. Groundskeeping at the Rest Area and District Office. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be able to safely move, drag, lift 35 pounds frequently, up to 60 pounds occasionally (without assistance), and 90 or more pounds infrequently (with assistance); climb, bend or stoop; work in outdoor temperature extremes and work around high speed traffic.

Must be able to be reached to report to work outside scheduled work hours for highway emergencies within 40 minutes of notification.
