Mueller's Atlanta-based Global Trade Compliance Department seeks an experienced Compliance Analyst to assist the department to minimize risk and ensure full compliance with laws and regulations. The successful candidate embraces challenges, change, and opportunities for personal and professional development, as the company continues to expand through both organic and inorganic growth.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Lead product classification for import/export and maintain parts database.

  • Co-Administer the Government Funding Certification process for programs such as AIS (American Iron and Steel), BAA (Buy American Act), Buy America, and similar domestic sourcing funding regulations.

  • Document, implement, and maintain the entry audit process.

  • Assist with COO determination, supplier COO solicitation, and Duty Drawback program implementation.

  • Serve as the in-house expert for all FTA (Free Trade Agreement) inquires.

  • Responsible for monthly tariff forecast.

  • Additional duties assigned as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in International Trade, Supply Chain, or Engineering, and a minimum of seven years of Trade Compliance experience.

  • CBL (Customs Broker License), CSS (Certified Customs Specialist, CUESCO (Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer, DBS (Duty Drawback Specialist), or similar accreditations highly desired.

  • Solid HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule), and ECCN (Export Control Classification Number) experience.

  • Skilled in data analytics including data mining and report generation.

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, Pivot Tables, Macros, etc. Experience with Oracle JD Edwards, or other ERP systems.

  • Ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in the processes of manufacturing, sourcing, sales, and logistics.


The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational competences with attention to detail skills, will work with sense of urgency, and be customer focused. Robust problem-solving and decision-making skills also .
