A Pharmaceutical Company is seeking a Translational Sciences & Diagnostics Program Manager in Princeton, NJ.

Role Description

Translational Sciences & Diagnostics Program Management is searching for an enthusiastic individual to support the technology teams within the Translational Sciences organization responsible for biomarker assay development/execution in early and late phase clinical trials. The Program Manager will be responsible for ensuring success of projects supporting clinical trials, as well as efforts focused on translational research. This role will include project oversight for both internal and external work.

The Program Manager will have significant interactions with members of the Translational Sciences team, as well as stakeholders throughout the entire R&D organization. The successful candidate will be a motivated, self-starter with a growth mindset. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are required, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects of significant complexity in a rapidly changing, highly matrixed team environment.

Skills & Requirements

  • Utilize project management skills/tools to ensure work is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for flawless execution of projects.
  • Establish and maintain operational capabilities that facilitate efficient workflows/processes.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives through interaction with all relevant stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility of requests.
  • Facilitate successful relationships by applying effective stakeholder management skills.
  • Apply risk management techniques to minimize project derailment and escalate issues to management as needed.
  • Effectively communicate timeline risks and delays with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Support an efficient review process of SOWs and technical reports with internal and external stakeholders, in addition to effective document organization and dissemination.
  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 8 years' experience in scientific project management.
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience using Smartsheet and MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel, and OneNote.
  • Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources to analyze complex problems and propose effective solutions.
  • Flexibility to re-focus priorities and achieve results in a frequently changing environment.
  • Ability to foster teamwork by creating an environment based on mutual trust and respect.
  • Possess a mindset that embraces a culture of diversity and inclusion.
  • Candidates with an advanced scientific degree preferred.
