Job Summary:

Everest Global is looking for a Manager of Treasury Accounting, who will be responsible for the timely booking and reconciliation of cash receipts and disbursements for the Reinsurance, Insurance and Corporate functions. The manager will be responsible for identifying and executing on process improvement opportunities, automation projects and business support activities. The goal of the role is to deliver tangible value to internal stakeholders and ensure cash receipts and disbursements are booked and reconciled timely and accurately.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the oversight, control and reconciliation of cash receipts and disbursements for the Reinsurance, Insurance and Corporate functions.
  • Oversee the monthly bank reconciliation process.
  • Ensure that all bank accounts are reconciled timely, and all reconciling items are subsequently cleared.
  • Lead and manage a team of 3 direct reports, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
  • Mentor, coach, and foster a positive work environment and encourage learning and professional development.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Identify and address performance issues promptly and effectively.
  • Recognize and reward differentiated performance.
  • Leverage the implementation of the Oracle cash management and ARC modules to:
    • continue the automation of the cash booking and reconciliation process.
    • leverage reporting and dashboard capabilities of the new system.
    • be the "center of excellence" for all global treasury teams at Everest Global.
  • Develop and nurture strong partnerships with Business Leaders to understand specific business issues and priorities to solve problems and improve processes, including investigating and resolving past accounting transactions.
  • Ability to work with limited direction.
  • Take ownership to drive process improvement initiatives to completion.

Required qualifications:
  • Three to five years of accounting or external audit experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including strong to advanced excel skills.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly in a virtual and office environment essential.
  • Ability to analyze and understand data as it pertains to specific processes.
  • Strong problem-solver and critical-thinker with entrepreneurial mindset who can produce meaningful qualitative and quantitative insights to solve complex business problems.
  • Self-motivated, prone to action, autonomous and results-oriented with ability to lead multiple complex initiatives.
  • Desire to lead a team and deliver results through self and others

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with Oracle/Peoplesoft
  • Experience working in a Treasury Unit or similar unit that was responsible for reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Experience in insurance industry, processes, and systems

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree majoring in accounting and finance.
