Responsibilities

Work tasks may include: Work with faculty and program coordinators to support learning activities for a specific course inside and/or outside of class. Must be available to attend courses they are providing learning assistance for. Preference may be given to students who can attend every course period for the section with which they are working.Attend initial training, possible ongoing formal training throughout the semester, and regular meetings with course faculty.Provide support to course faculty by assisting with administrative tasks. Such tasks may include grading of student work, entering scores into Canvas, or making copies. Additional responsibilities will depend on course/area and faculty need. Highlight diversity on campus and be cognizant of ways to help enhance appreciation of diversity in the UMR community. Be a good University team member. **Please note that if you have work-study funds, you will be required to use them for this position.**Qualifications

Required:

UMR undergraduate student in good standingPrevious successful completion of college-level coursework in Pre-Calculus

Preferred:

Work Study preferred, but not requiredPrevious successful completion (B- or higher) at UMR of Pre-CalculusAbility to follow complex instructionsAbility to quickly learn new tasks and materialAbility to work independentlyAbility to work collaboratively as a team member Demonstrates above average leadership skills and willingness to assume a leadership role in group settingsAbove average oral and written communication skillsDetail-orientation with a high degree of accuracyGood problem solving, prioritization skills, and maturity in judgmentHow To Apply
