Upstream Technical Application Specialist - Remote

MilliporeSigma is seeking a Technical Application Specialist. The position will work with the local Sales team, MSAT, R&D, and project management to support customer opportunities in the United States and Canada.

Responsibilities:

Organize and execute technical symposiums around our upstream products and services mainly to Regional Biotech accounts in Northeastern USASupport customer opportunitiesGo-to-market strategy executionInitial product adoption application support to the North American commercial team and customersCreate insightful win/loss analysisDevelop an in-depth understanding of market trends and needs and to communicate the "voice of the customer" to the internal organization. This position will include up to 50% domestic travel to customer locations & corporate locations within the USA and Canada.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering or other Scientific or Engineering field 2+ years of experience in Upstream process development or operations, with an emphasis on Mammalian Cell Culture and Viral & Gene Therapy

Preferred Qualifications:

Graduate degree science or engineering degree and/or a Master of Business Administration5+ years related hands-on relevant experience in the biopharma industryDemonstrated ability to establish strong partnerships with internal and external partnersViral & Gene Therapy expertiseExperience working in a sales/marketing organizationDemonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively to diverse audiences through both written and oral communicationsStrong customer and sales orientationDemonstrated ability to establish partnerships
