Sam's Club Supply Chain is looking for top talent to join the organization. We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager II, Supply Chain to join our team!

You'll be successful in this role if:

  • You have a background in supply chain and have managed multi-disciplined teams delivering transformative supply chain initiatives.
  • Have end to end project management of large-scale initiatives
  • Are able to influence and collaborate cross functionally
  • Can lead and present to senior executives and stakeholders
  • Understand end to end retail supply chain.
  • Are proficient with MS Projects, Excel and PowerPoint


You'll make an impact by:
  • Supporting strategy alignment and leading implementation of strategies for Supply Chain by engaging senior leadership across the company and Supply Chain in the evaluation and execution of business plans and initiatives.
  • Representing Supply Chain as a subject matter expert and the primary liaison; evaluating and communicating impact of business decisions on Supply Chain; evaluating projects and initiatives across Supply Chain and determining areas of opportunities.
  • Developing alternate solutions to challenges within Supply Chain; leading the execution of strategy plans and initiatives; and partnering with senior leadership and executive leadership to support strategy development initiatives (for example, strategy meetings, strategy alignment exercises).
  • Leading the prioritization and alignment and managing the execution of the Supply Chain project roadmap by identifying and evaluating resource needs and utilization across Supply Chain functions; collaborating with key stakeholders to analyze project initiatives; identifying and communicating interdependencies across operations and business units; developing prioritization recommendations and communicating the recommendations to executive and senior leadership; ensuring program alignment with business strategies and goals; obtaining buy-in on project prioritization and ensuring accountability for the project roadmap; reporting project status and results to executive leadership; and overseeing project alignment and resource planning for Supply Chain.
  • Leading projects and project teams for Supply Chain by determining scope, deliverables, objectives, and project plans and ensuring alignment with both the company and Supply Chain priorities and strategies; determining key project metrics and translating project requirements into goals; analyzing solution approaches and benchmarking them against industry standards and best practices; partnering with key stakeholders to create implementation and/or transition plans; monitoring impact of changes; evaluating progress against goals and standards; and adjusting project plans and initiatives accordingly.
  • Driving the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
  • Providing supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.
  • Ensuring business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • Experience within supply chain
  • Background in leading supply chain initiatives requiring cross functional teams


Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Transportation, Logistics, or related field and 5 years' experience in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Transportation, Logistics, or related field OR 9 years' experience in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Transportation, Logistics, or related field.
