Are you interested in working on some of Walmart Global Tech's biggest challenges? We are the New Business and Emerging Tech (NewBets) - Heath & Wellness Shared Services, and we are looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join us. This role will be accountable for successfully driving the execution of strategic and operational initiatives to optimize how we work as well as connect the dots across the Health & Wellness Space to deliver quality to our stores and our internal teams. You will work collaboratively with engineering teams, business product management, data stewards, and enterprise architecture, to ensure on time delivery, stable environments and new tools with quality results.

About the Emerging Technology NewBets - Health and Wellness Shared Services Program Management Team:

The Emerging Technology NewBets - Health and Wellness Shared Services Team focuses on the execution of strategic initiatives in the Health and Wellness Space with alignment to NewBets vision and direction. The team owns the execution rhythm to deliver high quality outcomes based on operations deliverables. The team also drives for organization transformation, practice optimization, and predictable delivery with Agile methodology.

  • Demonstrate a passion for details with the ability to ideate and problem solve actively with business leaders, product, and engineering stakeholders
  • Own Solutions and work with a passionate team of Enterprise Architects, Business Product, and Engineering Leaders, to deliver outcomes for the Operations Teams.
  • Inspire and energize cross-functional teams to achieve our vision, define our strategy, evaluate our business, and identify opportunities to work better and deliver value to our internal and external customers faster
  • Deliver highly visible, high-impact programs and coach your team of experienced and skilled tech partners to improve Ways of Working
  • Lead your team to continue building structure and rigor in our practices, build high performing team though inspiring empowerment, creativity, and innovation
  • Reinforce a delivery focused approach to building strategies, processes, and solutions that create value-driven roadmaps, feedback and learning loops, and measure outcomes

  • Running high-visibility, high-impact strategic operational programs
  • Measuring performance, forecast vs actuals, trending behaviors to provide insight and drive optimization improvements
  • Problem Solver that can work across the organization and company to drive outcomes, aligning with business owners and stakeholders, mitigating risk, and delivering value to our internal and external customers
  • Being unafraid of taking on challenges without having direct experience
  • Owning and driving team/ stakeholder engagements for the quarterly planning process, KPI definition, executive updates, and agile practices
  • Driving and executing plans that balance capacity and priority in an agile environment
  • Being a Leader to establish best practices for our TPM/ PGM divisional organization
  • Making Decisions that uses data analysis to determine direction and define success.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7+ years of technical program management or equivalent experience, independently driving cross-organizational, large-scale engineering efforts to solve complex problems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT Management, Communications, or equivalent.
  • Track record of delivering of process and technical innovation, proposing and implementing strategic solutions, and defining the vision for strategic technical programs while enforcing disciplined governance.
  • Knowledge and working experience in data and dashboard building
  • Comfortable presenting to and persuading at Director and above levels
  • Ability to work with key stakeholders, e.g. to trade off addressable business opportunities against available capacity of resources and prioritization conflicts
  • Experience in effectively communicating e.g. technical proposals, program updates, or technical documents such as functional specifications to stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in developing and mentoring junior technical program managers.
  • Capable of managing numerous stakeholders, anticipating their needs, and gaining alignment for strategies from executive level stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills (oral, verbal and listening) as well as the ability to influence key decision makers and understand their points of view
  • Strong leadership, negotiation and execution skills with the ability to drive results, deliver and excel, and own it when you don't
  • Comfortable in a fast paced, growing environment and work well with ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Staff-level technical program, project or product manager
  • Experience in developing and mentoring junior technical program managers.
  • Working knowledge in development concepts: DevOps Infrastructure, CI/CD Tools, Cloud platforms, Frameworks/Integrations, Accelerators and Best Practices
  • Operation Support practices/ methodologies and technologies
  • Proven ability to drive results, especially in a matrixed or influence based environment
  • Understands, describes, and navigates existing work and makes recommendations with a clear sense of organizational impact
  • Examples throughout your career of hands-on involvement in delivering improvement and establishing standards that are used by engineering teams to enhance customer experience
