This position will be based in El Paso, TX.

What you will be doing:

Supports the Vendor Compliance Department in its efforts to reduce chargebacks by effectively reviewing and interpreting customer scorecards and chargeback data. Communicates non-compliance issues and necessary process changes to appropriate personnel in other departments. Reviews customer agreements with the Legal Department and sales field. Communicates any conflicts with Helen of Troy's established processes.

  • Retrieve scorecard and chargeback data from various customer websites and correspondence
  • Update existing customer files with most recent requirements, routing guides, compliance manuals, agreements, and any critical correspondence regarding scorecard issues and non- compliance errors
  • Communicate scorecard and chargeback data and any other pertinent information including special requirements for label formats and shipping documents to other departments including the Forecasting, Traffic, Credit, Customer Service, Warehouse, and EDI Departments by way of e-mail notifications and conference calls, as needed
  • Use Excel spreadsheets and Word documents to create detailed reports and root cause analysis of customer scorecards. Communicate pertinent scorecard and chargeback data to department heads for the Warehouse, Traffic, and Customer Service Departments
  • Use the Helen of Troy Portal to obtain sales and shipping data to be used to develop non- compliance chargeback reports weekly, monthly, and quarterly. Researches suspected shipping errors for specific accounts
  • Maintain customer files in alphabetical order by division. Assist in archiving old files in the Customer Service storage cage, as needed
  • Cross-train with supervisor and co-workers in order to facilitate collaboration and shared responsibility within the department
  • Attend and/or conduct meetings and conference calls with employees and supervisors in other departments regarding compliance issues, customer guidelines, customer agreements, and scorecard reviews
  • Use general knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, barcode scanning requirements, invoicing, bills of lading, and order entry in order to communicate specialized requirements to department heads and facilitate any required process corrections. Dispute any claims for which Helen of Troy is not at fault
  • Access carrier websites to acquire PODs, shipping documents, and tracking information in order to research and resolve claims or dispute items where Helen of Troy is clearly not at fault


Skills needed to be successful in this role:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with a proven ability to multi-task
  • Motivated self starter with the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Able to prioritize workload and complete all work by established deadlines. Possess excellent research skills
  • Able to evaluate data and provide root cause analysis and resolution of non-compliance errors
  • Able to effectively complete cross-training with supervisor and other employees within the department


Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma
  • 1+ years' experience in warehouse ops, traffic & shipping, and/or customer claims, research, and resolution
  • Connect with external and internal customers and be able to interact with members of other departments on all levels of management
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word (type letters and build spreadsheets)
  • Conduct research, diagram and learn new processes
  • Coordinate and maintain customer files
  • Familiar with web site navigation
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Oracle
