We are currently seeking a VP of Marketing to join the team Remote.

The Vice President, Marketing will lead strategic development, management and implementation of an effective global marketing and communication strategy that is aligned with the overall BGIS vision and business objectives.

The role will liaise with global leadership to increase the Brand awareness, build and define the unique selling propositions and roll out of marketing and communications campaigns. The Incumbent will analyze the efficiency of marketing and sales practices, derive insights and propose further development and defining of the message.

RESPONSIBILITIES

People Leadership

Demonstrates strong, competent leadership for team members to guide them in reaching their full potential and meeting their objectives, which supports achievement of our corporate goals. Specifically, these responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Full involvement with recruiting talent.
  • Provides mentoring, coaching and guidance to all team members.
  • Objectively recommends compensation adjustments.
  • Manages all aspects of performance.
Strategy Development
  • Consult and work with the Global Chief Commercial Officer and Sales Teams to lead the development of a dynamic Strategic Marketing and Communications Plan that reflects and responds to the overall BGIS business plan within the available budget.
  • Evolve BGIS brand architecture and brand narrative across US, Canada and UK/Europe operations with a focus on acquiring new customers and growth.
  • Leverage the competitive intelligence and customer research insights to improve our road map, positioning and messaging.
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to support company objectives around lead generation, brand awareness, and customer retention across several verticals and segments.
  • Leverage marketing and communications programs by national practices, regions and by sectors globally.
  • Ensure the plans adapt to rapidly changing market environments and respond to new and emerging trends and news events.
  • Develop and implement a digital marketing strategy to support brand awareness.
Budget Accountability
  • Responsible for stewardship of the marketing budget including overall budget tracking, adherence to internal financial processes and working jointly with the broader Leadership Team to ensure spend is allocated across the most effective channels to drive the best return for the company.
  • Ensure the effective use of allocated global marketing and communications program budget and regularly report/demonstrate value and ROI.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and yearly budgets, and allocate resources appropriately.
Industry Media and Promotion
  • Oversee the planning and execution of corporate events end to end including vendor management, budget, event logistics.
  • Leverage activities in conjunction with events such as speaking opportunities, sponsorships, virtual events, webinars, etc.
  • Establish strong relationships to industry media outlets to pitch thought leadership content, provide digital assets, posting and sharing content on industry forums and social media channels.
  • Liaise with all key agency partners across multiple locations including creative, media, analytics, and research to drive enhanced process and creative execution across our partner landscape.
Insights and Reporting
  • Develop KPIs globally and dashboard reporting to track the progress and efficiency of the marketing programs and analyze the resulting ROI.
  • Regularly review with the team the key metrics including, new customer acquisition, brand awareness, positive brand perception.
  • Monitor industry trends and share new information with the team.
  • Closely monitor competitors' successes and failures and learn from them
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, and ABILITIES
  • University degree in Business, Marketing, or Commerce.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience (minimum 5 years at a senior level) and demonstrable success in the formulation and implementation of strategic marketing and communication plans preferably real estate/ facility management services.
  • Experience of negotiating with and managing sophisticated third-party organizations such as global industry bodies, global media owners and global content/services providers.
  • Experience of developing compelling value propositions for services/campaigns and creating integrated issue-based platforms both for promoting relationships and generating revenue.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to get buy-in and support for projects from diverse and often widespread stakeholders.
  • Ability to think about the big picture to drive strategic organization-wide initiatives with a keen eye for the details required to see them to completion.
  • Expertise in distilling complex concepts and ideas into clear and concise narratives to communicate with potential customers, partners, and market influencers.
  • High-impact storytelling skills that evoke emotion and inspire action.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required (20% to 50%).
