Wastewater Operator

Location: Attleboro, MA
Salary: $65,000.00 USD Annually - $70,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Wastewater Operator

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Grade 2 Massachusetts state license for industrial wastewater operator

• Two years experience in wastewater treatment, electrochemical refining or plating process or other chemical processing experience.

• Experience with wastewater treatment and associated equipment such as pumps, motors, gauges, filters, piping, etc.

• Experience with safe handling of hazardous chemicals, acids, bases, etc.

• One year experience in a chemical manufacturing company preferred but will train qualified person.

• Good record keeping skills.

• Good math and chemistry skills as would be required to maintain a Massachusetts state license for industrial wastewater operators.

• Ability to operate forklift preferred, but training can be provided upon hire

• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.

• Ability to twist, climb ladders, lift, and occasionally push 55 gallon drums

• Ability to follow written standard operating procedures.

• Must be able to withstand exposure to high heat in the summer as well as dust, noise and fumes.

• Chemistry knowledge from wastewater treatment, electrochemical refining or plating process or other chemical processing experience.

• Mechanical ability with hand tools, wrenches in order to repair minor faults in pumps, piping, etc.

• Ability to understand and use Omron control/monitoring system

• Ability to use a calculator
