Wireless Engineer

GDH is seeking a Wireless Engineer for onsite support 3 days per week in the local Detroit area.

Must have skills:

• AireOS deployment and management.
• 9800 WLC operation and configuration (Basic skills)
• Basic understanding of DNAC for Wireless.
• RF survey skills using Ekahau and or Air Magnet
• Basic understanding of Wireless authentication via ISE

Successful engineer will

• Provide operational support for complex, Wi-Fi network deployments.
• Solid Wi-Fi troubleshooting skills for client problems
• Solid RF troubleshooting skills
• Assist in the development of high-level and low-level design activities
• Assist in the development of network implementation planning
• Assist in configuration and connectivity activities, including test planning and cutover activities.

Skill Details:

• Experience with RF design both predictive as well as on site 'AP on a stick'
• Solid knowledge of WLC design and operation, Both 9800 as well as AireOS controllers.
• Basic understanding of LAN Switching, Layer 2 troubleshooting
• Layer 3 skills with BGP and OSPF
• Understanding of the ISE product line as it pertains to authentication for WiFi clients
• Prefer a BS/BE/B.Tech degree or equivalent plus 5+ years of related experience in IT industry
• Certifications Preferred, CCIP, CCNA, CCNP ( Plus )
• Industry Neutral Certifications will also be looked at: CWNE, CWNP
